One of the oldest private universities in Uganda, Ndejje University is chartered by the government of Uganda and enjoys a measure of popularity with foreign students. The university has three campuses, one in Kampala, and the main two-wing campus on Ndejje Hill, about 26 miles from Kampala.

From Ndejje Website: Ndejje University is a private university, Chartered by the Government of Uganda. The university was stablished in 1992 as a community-oriented and Christian-based centre for higher learning. Ndejje University is an institution of the Anglican Church of Uganda and one of its core principles is to prepare students for "effective service to God".The university's mission is to prepare students for the challenges of the fast-changing world. All the university's academic programs have been tailored to conform with the standards set internally by the Quality Assurance Team at Ndejje University, and those set by the Uganda National Council for Higher Education.
Ndejje University offers a variety of study options and programmes ranging from undergraduate, graduate, and continuing career enhancement. When standard study options don't suit the needs of a student, flexible study options exist , including Evening Study programmes designed to offer opportunities mainly to working class students and any interested persons that meet the university's admission requirements.
Students at the Kampala campus on Namirembe Hill can avail themselves of private hostel facilities in the city's suburbs.
Fees: Per semester fees for undergraduate degree courses range from UGX 750,000 to UGX 1,200,000. Diploma courses from UGX 350,000 to UGX 650,000. Room and boarding fees is at UGX 400,000 per semester.
